Radiator Fan staying on.

Postby TRD_ZERO » Fri Feb 19, 2010 5:19 pm

When i turn the ignition on my radiator fan goes on. What is going on? I just cut the old plug off and wired the new fan onto that. Sensors bung?

on ae92's with aircon when you unplug the aircon fan it opens up the thermo switch circuit and turns on tha fans all the time. on non air coned versions theres a shortcircuit plug that jumps the plug completing the circuit.

just join those two wires together or grab one of those jumps and plug it in.

its not actually the plug that goes to the pump. its the one that goes to the ac pressure switch.

on ae92's its located near the fuse box in the engine bay and the wires are light green.

Correct, fan with function as normal with those two pins joined.

Common story on EP82/EP91/AE92/Virtually everything else made in the 90's.

can anyone tell me is the a/c pressure switch got a plug with 4 wires into it which attaches to one of those aluminum pipes(a/c pipe maybe?), and is below the ignition coil?

my a/c has been removed and radiator fan stays on all the time. but i just cut those two green wires(on the aforementioned plug) and tried them together and fan stayed on...?
