I used on on MR2 Turbo, got about 10,000 kms out if it and it cracked, definately reccomend getting a flexi and a bracket made up when installed.
Or going for a higher quality item, not sure if the MR2 3sgte dump pipes are the same as Caldina 3sgte, but Aussie, Berk or TKO are rated very highly, and when you factory in install costs its cheaper to do it right and do it once.
As for noticing a difference, slightly more responsive but was also running a pod and performance exhuast to compliment + did my CT26 to CT20b upgrade at the same time, a 3" dump pipe will certainly help over stock one.
Like all upgrades every little thing is going to help and all compliment each other in some way. I assume the upgrade path for power in GTT is same as MR2 since they both run 3SGTE engine.
