Looking for 5 stud rims with minimal backspace

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Mon May 24, 2010 9:35 pm

I'm after some 5 x 114 stud pattern rims for spare tyres / skid rims.

Every one I've found so far has massive backspace and I need something with a maximum of 90mm backspace. Needs to be big enough to fit over a hilux drum brake too - 14" does, not sure if 13" will?

Are there any particular vehicles with rims that have this sort of backspace? The closest I've found is 115mm, so not sure if I'm looking for something that doesn't exist

Cheers
-Matt

Do you mean like a wide rim with a large positive offset?

doesn't need to be wide - the skinnier the better, less traction

not 100% familiar with which way positive / negative offset is, but the measurement I'm referring to is taken with the rim face down (so you're looking at the back of the rim) and measuring from the flat mounting surface to the lip of the rim facing you.

Mint, will go on the hunt for them.

As for the graphic above, assuming the mounting face is on the RH side of the rim, I need more negative offset.

yeah low offset is better, like less than +10.

will probably be cheaper and easier fi you get a secone set of axels that are 4 stud or ger them changed then your wheel options are pretty much endless

changing axles isn't an option as my current wheels are 5x114.
I need spare rims for skid tyres, but also as spare wheels so I can put slicks on my normal wheels and get up the drags on the spare wheels and just swap them over when I get there.

helps to know what they're likely to come off though, as I've measured alot of wheels lately and nothing has been close
