data logging

Postby chris77 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 12:24 pm

Hi
Is there any way of reading the ecu data on a caldina st215 ecu via the data plug . I have done a search and not come up with much and it does not seem to talk to the connector I have ( cheep one of net ) and software that I use on my suzuki engines .
Need to get rpm and temp to set the shift light and check water temp , there is no dash in the vehicle and there will never be .

Thanks
Chris

It does talk to the obd connection, but apart from some very expensive scan tools, I have not found any way of communicating with it. I suspect it's using some propriety message format or protocol that the cheap scan tools don't support.
