Intercooler mounting

Postby Vertigo » Sun Nov 21, 2010 10:24 am

How should I go about mounting an intercooler in front of the gearbox in my '2? I figure thats the best spot in terms of cool air supply and room to work in.

Will probably go air-to-air for simplicity, and think about going air-to-water down the road.

honestly i wouldnt bother with air to air it doesnt work even well enough on a SC

if you were to put it over the gearbox use and SC engine lid and fan underneath the intercooler pushing the air up.. theres a dead air zone around the engine lid area so its really tricky to get air moving there. (dont quote me on that its a rough guess from past experiences)
