Altezza codes

Postby RS13 » Mon Feb 07, 2011 9:50 pm

Am I able to pull ECU codes from an Altezza? Had a look, OBD2 must be quite different from older Toyotas I've pulled codes from as there wasn't a TE1 or TE2 in the diagnostic box?

Symptoms are no idle after an ECU reset, gets better after a couple of days but I'm sure it shouldn't be like that. Also occasionally stalls when idling.

Sounds about normal to me, the same happened on my dads auto altezza after a ECU reset and MAF clean. Took about 2 short drives to sort out the stalling problem, then idle got better over the next few days as the ECU learns fuel trims etc

But yeah check the codes to see if there is any problems if it doesn't come right after a few days.

add to that throttle body clean. Very sensitive in that area, the throttle body on altezza seem to gunk up faster than usual.

Does it have OEM airbox? If it has "poddie" I suggest reverting it to OEM.

Nah man, factory airbox setup. Only mod that I've seen are headers.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated. :)

mine idled like a bitch, if at all after i cleaned the AFM and reset ecu. I'd say its normal.

only lasted a day or so before it become 100% fine. It gradually got better, was pretty bad initially.
