AE101 trueno check light, knock sensor

My POS daily silvertop 20v trueno keeps having the engine check light pop up under acceleration when cold, been doing it almost a year now and its a pain in the ass, have to keep turning car off and crash starting it to have check light come on next time i use more than 10% throttle.

done the ecu diagnostic and throws the knock sensor.

Anyway to dodgy this up so it wont show engine check light and put into limp mode, looses a big chunk of what power it has left.

Bear in mind this is my crusty car that i try and spend as little as possible on. thanks

Go to a wreckers and find another one...if you unplug it the CEL will stay on. I had a list some place of all the common knock sensors, must dig it out. From memory there were 3 types of knock sensor used on 4AGEs, and they're common across a bunch of other cars.
