OK so what my spring and shock combo is TRD superstrut springs purchased from toyota(with a warning saying the previous owner returned them having bottoming out issues in the front)TRD damper adjustable shocks no leaks seems good.
Now the shocks dont bounce back which ive been told is correct as they are oil shocks and are damper adjustable and mainly control the upward rate of the strut (correct me if im wrong as im just going on what ive been told and what i understand).
Once i put the car back on the ground the whole front bottoms out. It feels like it sits on the bump stops. There is no movement in the front ( the rear is fine). If the shocks are designed not to really have any downward resistance then its the springs job to hold the front up, right? If its bottoming out that means the spring is not doing its job.
Is the spring faulty? Is it common for newish spring or just springs in general to just fail. Is the spring shock combo incorrect? Does that spring need to be fitted with a gas shock to help downward resistance. Do i need a harder springs in the front.
Or is the spring just faulty and i need new front springs?
Sorry for bringing this up again but ive pulled the suspension out so many times now im just trying to gather advide before i do another round of spring changes.
I am unable to work on the car right now as it is in storage and want to hear what you guys have to say before i get the chance.
