Just on the off chance there's an Isuzu geek on here...
Does anyone know what the difference is between a 6bg1 and 6bd1 engine?
Being the subject of E-whinges since 2004 8)

Don't think there's much difference apart from capacity, 6gb1 is 6.5l, 6db1 is 5.7l

Yeah

turns out the cranks are interchangeable. However a D crank in a G = no compression! Doh!!

Ahh yes, D is a 3mm shorter stroke

lower compression, just up the boost..........

Yeah. Too much lower compression. Won't run!!
