Probably a stupid question at that (I'm asking on behalf!), given that they're both the same model a year apart, but would rear struts and brakes swap straight to a 1991 GT from a 1990 GT? Are there any other EP* Starlets that would have the same setup, maybe a Gi perhaps?

Gi's have drum rear end instead of the GT disk setup so avoid at all costs. Everything from one GT will swap over to another - chassis is the same. Subtle differences in parts from year to year but it's all interchangeable.
