its possible I know on the A70 supras the non turbo ga70 came with an f series diff as opposed the the g in the ma's so the thickness on the F diff models is smaller than the G.

that said I did manage to join a small (F) front half to a (G) rear end to make use of the drive shafts I had avalible to me (auto G and w57 F)

with so many toyota boxes running the same yolk (21spline) theres a heap of different universal joint sizes from 4wd's to vans, commercial vehicles, crowns, cressida's, supras... etc etc think of all the cars that run the w51/52/55/56/57/58/59 or the steel case w40/w50 or the G52/55/##/##/## van box or all the different automatics.... hell even the 70's corolla A40 box runs that spline. the celica GT4 transfer case runs the same spline. (those unis are pretty meaty)
couple of different sizes you reckon?
if you want something 'rebuildable' try stay away from the ones with the press in end caps. rather, go for one with the circlips.
the commercial van/4wd ones are usually built strong and rebuildable.
