Sorry if this has been answered before (hard searching with oily hands on a iph lol) but does anyone know what the length is of an ae86 acceleration cable?? How much longer is it from an ae85 cable??

I had the same trouble when I 4AGE'd the AE85 I had.

I think from memory I used a DX corolla cable as the AE85 one is way too short.

Yea, at a rough calc I need something that is about 19cm longer than the 85 one.

The big problem I'm going to run into will be the fact my ITB throttle linkage is mounted under the middle of the plenum so a 16v one (I'm guessing) will be too long as are 16v ones at the front of the engine? , but hoping it will only just be too long, and I can make it work if I can find out the length lol.

EDIT: 19cm not mm (sleep deprived :lol:

you roughly measured 19mm?

pretty sure im using a ep82 starlet cable in my 85, cant remember how much longer it is over the ae85 one tho

HahhahAHHHAH, yea that could sound bad. lol.

Angled the cable as much as it would go, then got a piece of wire from the end of that to the end of the linkage, then measured the wire. Said roughly based on my blond way of measuring.

Just go to pickapart and find one a bit longer?

Shouldn't matter if it's too long as the cable works anyway..
