ae82 not idling

Postby l3_vin » Mon Aug 08, 2011 1:53 pm

Changed manifold and exhaust of my ae82 4age bluetop. Car was fine when i started with open headers, but now that the whole exhuast is on, it wont hold idle. I have to keep reving the car. what could it be? i am pretty sure everythings on accordingly.

Could it be that i unplugged the sensor which was on the standard manifold? or the timing is out as i have taken the dizzy out a few times now.

cheers.

if you have taken the dizzy out without marking it exactly (and even so), it will pay to make sure the timing is correct. i think its 10deg BTDC for bluetop?
