fibreglassing.. grinding

Postby Lurkin » Tue Aug 16, 2011 6:17 pm

Righto have been trying to repair a TOM's bumper back to its former glory.. first job has been to try and remove as many of the prior owners repairs whilst fixing its current cracks.

Unfortunately the prior owner has put some crappy netting inbetween the 'air dam' and the bottom of the lip, and poured on the resin

Thus trying to figure out a way to remove it. The gap between the two is too small for an angle grinder, and its to stuck to be chipped out. Any ideas of an appropriate tool for this?

Get a pair of pliers and break the resin. then clean up with a dremal or die grinder and then sandpaper. don't forget a decent mask as the dust is like asbestos and won't break down in your body
