Engine burning oil - SOLVED

Postby loudstealthGT-Four » Wed Sep 14, 2011 10:48 pm

So got the motor bank into my GT-Four and got it running today, but have a few issues.

first off all its only running on 3 cylinders, problem turned out to be one of the injectors, so there off to get checked and cleaned

secondly its smoking like a biatch (blue smoke) . wasn't smoking before i took the motor out so cant be anything to bad (i really hope). doesn't smoke when idling but as soon as i give it some revs it smokes alot, the more revs the more smoke.

what i was wondering is could the fact that there is no fire in the 3rd cylinder, that it likely that its not sealing thus letting oil into the cylinder causing it to smoke????????

Sounds sorta crazy but i just cant think what would be causing my car to burn oil.

whats the history of the motor?

if oil has gotten into something while it was apart, it can take a surprisingly long time to burn off sometimes. and produce a shitload of smoke doing so.

That is possible as I pulled most of the parts off intake side of the engine to clean them up

That was what I was fearing, but it must of been abit of oil somewhere, as I got it back together and running today, and it's not smoking anymore :D
