Hey guys,
I have fitted a E58 GTZ (Viscous LSD) into my AE82 and it is NOT sitting at the design angle it would be in it's home AE101. This means filling it to the filler bolt level will not be the correct oil amount.
Does anyone have a workshop manual capacity for this gearbox? Or a Japanese Owners manual for a AE101 GTZ - I can get a translation. Or even an E52? The only capacity I have found is a US book for MR2 S/C E51 with 8.8pints (4.16L)
I can fill it with the correct volume of oil by unscrewing the top vent.

Its around 3.8L for the E58.
Your meant to fill it via the plug on the front side of the box using a suction gun thing.
When oil starts coming out the hole your putting it in then that means FULL.

As the gearbox is not at the correct original installation angle the Plug on the side will no longer be the correct FULL height though.
