On AE111 you can use the same crossmember but the rear of the lower arm on an AE101 mounts differently on the Macpherson strut as it uses a horizontal bolt rather than a vertical bolt like on all super strut and AE111

Is there actually any gain/advantage to doing this? (if there's nothing physically wrong with your SS suspension)

I did it purely for having more suspension options and not have so many moving parts which arent cheap to replace.

I fail to see the logic, superstrut works damn well. The dog legs are not that expensive these days, replace them and they will last another 100,000km/ten years.

The cost to swap it out the whole suspension surely would cost more than swapping just the dog legs?

Exactly. Adjustable coilovers are easier to get ahold of for ms and a hell of alot easier to work on.

SS upgrades,,,, bushes check, camber plates check, adj coilovers (from Bazda) check

What more do you need other than being able to buy cheap fuxored MS coilovers off trademe?

Bazdas are priced sharply even allowing for a SS premium

Add cost of cert and the downgrade to MacPherson seems a bit pointless.

Smaller rotors as in machined down SS jobbies rather than MS jobbies though aye, its only a few mm from memory

Yeah mine were machined down to 262mm. Though you start to run out of disc face close to the centre of the disc.

I even thought about putting SS into my Levin as its got better suspension geometry!

Still considering it :D.

Anyone know if the AE111 subframe fits onto the AE92 chassis?
