Measurements off el44 cynos wanted

Postby siren676 » Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:40 pm

I'm looking at retrofitting a cynos' rear axle into my starlet and need to get some measurements off one to see if it'd fit.
Ill be needing the distance between the 2 leading/trailing arm mounts (think that's what they are called), the length of the leading/trailing arms and the width of the axle.

Can draw up a pic of the measurements I need tomorrow if you can't decipher the above message.

message dexgt (Webster) he has one as his daily hack, and since he does everything possible on Starlet turbo's, can probably tell you if it will fit.

I am 99% certain that the chassis of the cynos is the same as a starlet / tercel, the suspension is interchangeable , I put some spare starlet stuff on my EL44 cynos when I got it, I certainly can't tell the difference when I'm standing under my starlet / cynos
If I get a chance I'll put the cynos on the hoist tomorrow and take some measurements for you.

"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Cheers man.
Im wanting to put a cynos rear axle onto the starlet as ive heard that the cynos one is slightly wider.
Also want to put disks on the rear and changing the whole rear axle seems to be the easiest solution.
