Let me tell you a little story to inform you on how i got into this predicament.
In early 2008 my car had just under quarter tank when i pulled it off the road. Once i did the whole turbo installation i got told to just add about 15 liters of new fuel to the old stuff as it was time to tune (late 2009).
Through out the process of trying to tune while my car wasnt in storage, blowing one ecu and spending money on the car that didnt need to be spent.
Its now 2012 present day new ecu installed and road tuned.
Yes still running on that same fuel from 2009.
My oil is seriously stinking of fuel. So i dumped the oil and sent the injectors away to get tested and what not. When taking the injectors out the fuel didnt smell good well lets just say didnt smell like petrol anymore.
Ive been running ideas throught my head on why my oil stinks and what the off fuel might be doing.
1. When i take that old fuel out and fill my tank with new petrol what is it going to do to my air/fuel ratios since it has been tuned with that old crap? they are going to be way out and ill have to get the tuner back im guessing.(i dont run an oxy sensor, the tuner brings his wideband along)
2. This is just an idea but wouldnt alot more old fuel have to be pumped into the cylinders to get the correct fuel ratios compared to fresh fuel?
In saying this could this be the cause of it getting into my oil because of the amount thats getting pumped into the motor?
Realising what could be happening to my motor is disheartning but trust someone on here could shed some light.
Here is a video of it running if it helps at all
