3SG Beams to 250hp

Postby diss7 » Sat Sep 08, 2012 1:20 pm

I'd like to get some opinions on options to take the beams in the hachi to the next stage. While I don't see myself doing this until next year, I am mindful of starting to spend money on things that are not suitable to what I want to end up having.

Ideally I would like to build to spec similar to formula atlantic 4age.

After reliability and response, and the power obviously.

Some of my first questions are how far I need to rebuild the motor? Keep the stock displacement and replace the pistons and rods, or stroke the motor and get a new crank also. Toda racing have these options covered. Eitherway they offer resulting compression at either 12.6 or 12.9, I have hear of 12.6 being okay on 98, but what about 12.9?

Any known supplier of a crate motor?

Please no comments abouts about dropping a sr20det in or a 3sgte or why I want to muck about with NA.
