Postby LEAKER » Mon Sep 17, 2012 7:19 pm

Pre facelift rear wheel bearing kits for a ST185, anyone know where to get them?
Toyota genuine is not cheap, im getting a price on shipping from fensport at the moment but i'm wondering if anyone knows something i don't? I've tried repco and bnt in the past and they had nothing......

same as front with different seals. Easy to order. Let me know and we'll put it through my account at hutt city auto parts. The pop around to mine and swap it over if you want. It's about $90 if I remember correctly

Pull it apart and take the bearings into your local skf etc and buy them that way. It is possible they are specials though but I'd try that first

got to get past the seals. They normally die when taking the bearing out.

Most bearing places should be able to sort you something, though the usual story is that they need the numbers from the once you're pulling out.

cool cheers guys. Toyota is $350+ per side per kit but my mate that works there got them down to 197+ per side. Aparently the bearings are about $120+ and the seals are $3* Each. Ill get the bearings out and call the bearing suppliers.
Cheers for the offer deecee, i'll give you a yell if things fall apart.
Just a note, aparently the pre facelifts are different to the facelifts.

my car is 1990 (some carpets have nov 1989 on them) and came with 2-pot front calipers which were pre-facelift.

I still have a number of bearing shells left and can take measurements as you need. You got my number sojust let me know and I can call the shop and order one in for you and chuck it through my account.

I had the same thing, but the Aristo is my daily so couldnt source parts easy while it was apart. Got my bearing thrught these guys http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/pa ... icles.html
Took about a week from time of order to being here, was $50USD for the kit, then $50USD for P+P. Would work out well if your doing the whole set
