hey,
anyone know if shocks (front) from the early model (approx 2002 era) will fit the facelift version? (approx 04 onwards)
for some reason the guy at toyota told me they wont fit? the research ive done seems to say they are exact same unit...?

when we looked into it there was a change too,

in the TRD stuff there is pre and post facelift and it says they are not interchangable but does not say why??

Maybe they can be made to fit? who knows?

Real fuzzy memory, but maybe the spring seats are slightly different heights? Or was it the shape of the spring maybe... Can't remember

When I ordered new one for our facelift one they sent both sets and there was no difference, at the time we had a per facelift model and everything measured up the same. Both were nz new models if that makes a difference.

We looked into them for our Fielder as it had rockhard Jap springs in it when we test drove it.

TRD list them as different and the facelift ones are discontinued and out of stock.
They are nearly 10 years old.

going off here, have to go down quite a way to Fielder.

Looks as though it is only the 2ZZ version from 04.2004 that is different,
all the 1ZZ ones and all the NZ new ones will be the same as the non facelift ones.

Nick @ Platinum wheels hooked my brothers Fielder - 2004 model though I think.

Were a good price I think and made the ride nice.

Might be worth asking him though?
