ecu plug identification

Postby themaleman » Sun Dec 02, 2012 8:02 pm

i finally found a reasonably priced loom and ecu for a redtop bigport 4age engine. the problem is the ecu plugs are different from the orignal one i had.

i had an ae92 levin with a bigport redtop in it. which i kept the engine, ecu and loom from before scraping the car. unfortunately the ecu plugs got hacked off and throwen away.

i was going to get the loom deloomed and the engine put into a suzuki sj410, thats when i found the plugs were gone :(

the plugs on the orignal ecu were 10p 18p 14p. and all yellow

the loom and ecu i got today was from an ae92 fxgt and had grey plugs that were 26p 16p 12p.

the seller swears its from a bigport but i am unsure and after looking at the internet it appears all bigports have yellow ecu plugs.

can anybody confirm this?

thanks
Liam

dose anybody know if this would run a bigport engine?
i have come across 3 old listings from trademe advertising an ecu with the same numbers as my new 1 (89661-20890) as being for a bigport. and then some being advertised for a smallport!!
