steering rack ends/inner tie rod removal

On the Honda I was advised by the WOF guy that both sides need replacing.

Do I need the special tool to get on to the end or how do you usually do it?

Adjustable spanner. About the only time I use them.

Yeah need a good quality set and to be careful. I just did the rack ends on my Skyline over the weekend and I used that. I don't do that sort of shit often enough to warrant buying/making a special tool but if you do then it's definitely worth it.

I have the same tool and they work well but wouldn't go buy one for a one off job unless your out of options.

Large polygrips or stilsens will do the job if accessible on full lock. Flatten the lockwasher so it can be reused if newones arent supplied. Loctite the rack threads if you have some.
