Which fluid for W55

This has been discussed a fair bit over the internet - but just wondering if there's been any new discoveries with what fluid to run in an old W55?

I have just bought one and installed it - seems to shift nice through all gears and the bearings don't feel too worn - ALTHOUGH - there was a decent amount of metal filings on the magnetic drain plug.

I ran Redline Lightweight shockproof in my old W57 - but I had horrible crunching issues with that.

What are your thoughts?
