power steering and alternator relocation

Postby mega4a » Tue Jun 11, 2013 12:03 pm

has anyone ever thought of mounting the alternator and the power steering pump at the back of the motor my power steering on the 4afe is already at the back but i would like to move the alternator under it. to make room at the front of the motor for huge turbo

im pretty sure 20v run alternator at the back and power steering at the front of the motor.

anyway im just wondering if anyone seen this done before?

Anything can be done with custom fabricated brackets.

Never had an issue having the PS at the front and Alt at the back with clearance for Turbos.

hey man.
yeah that is very true i could make custom bracket.
but i was hoping maybe it had been done before without custom bracket and more just a bolt on bracket if you get what i mean. i could always change manifold but then down pipe intercooler pipe etc has to all be changed and f*** that. i just really wanna move alternator to the back cause it get in the way of the turbo intake pipe at the moment. if you look at my build the turbo intake pipe comes close to the alternator. and to have a cold air intake that i wanna make with alternator at the front the intake would have to have so many bends in the intake pipe to get it to point out the headlight area so i wanna move alternator to the back and power steering to the back it would make it look tidy as and my intake could be straight into cold airbox.
