Any experience using the 2jz Hybrid turbo manifolds

Postby Jetboat3sgte » Thu Jun 20, 2013 5:22 pm

Anyone running one of these hybrid turbo manifolds? Are they any good.

In their listing they state that they are made from "mild steal steam pipe" however there is no such material, steam pipe is much higher tensile than mild.

Anyway any experience as to how well they fit etc would be appreciated.

I havent heard of them before.

I always think when somebody is trying to sell a nice manifold, that they make sure to include shots of inside the merge collector, to show you how nice of a job they have done, and on manifolds where they havent taken the same care, they tend to just show the typical shots that were in that link.

Maybe request some photos of the actual item so you can see if its split pulse, how much slag is floating about, and how even the wastegate feeds are etc

yes definately get 'merge' shots, and a 4bolt wastegate flange,, nothing has that these days (unless fake gate), it will be a identical copy of the sh*t stainless ones just using steel so probably the build quality will be same which is,,, beep, haha

A quick look on the site shows nothing except generic Chinese parts, so the 4 bolt flange makes sense from that point of view, as those vendors typically tend to sell nothing others than HKS and GReddy clones, unless they have moved into Ti-al clones now too?

Agreed.

Its something that you have to go through yourself first though, before you actually believe it. Everyone believes that it wont happen to them lol
