Linkplus G1 vs G3/4 (worth upgrading?)

Postby ~SlideWays~ » Tue Jul 16, 2013 4:48 pm

I'm part way through putting my race car back together and I've just been thinking, the LinkPlus is pretty old, but is there really much reason to upgrade? I will be getting it retuned for ID1000's and a couple of PSI more.

Its a pretty straight forward setup 4agze, T3/04e, Evo3 injectors (will be ID1000's), mitsi coils, 4agze CAS etc etc.

So apart from maybe fuel economy from higher resolution and dual maps is there really much reason to mess with what works?

It made 212kw at 17psi and felt like a factory tune. But I'm just looking at things I need to think about before forking out another $800+ for a tune (number 3).

I've toyed with the idea of E85 at some stage but that won't be for a while.

IMO

it wont make the car any faster around a lap,
and if tuned properly there will probably be next to no difference in fuel useage.

The advantages are in the stuff that most people probably don't use.

Cheers for that, its pretty much what I have been thinking. Money better spent elsewhere.

The Linkplus (esp with V14 firmware) are awesome - I'd keep it, your not going to gain much

It is the V14 which was the last version from memory. I'm going to stick with it I think. Thanks
