1NZ-FE high cold start

Postby Jebus » Mon Oct 14, 2013 3:50 pm

I have a Fielder with a 1NZ engine, on every cold start the revs jump up above 2000rpm, usually between 2100-2200rpm.

This sounds odd and I cant imagine is good for a bone cold motor. Is this normal? or is there something I should be adjusting or replacing?

Thanks,

Nope, mine is only just over 1000rpm when cold, settling to 600-700rpm when warm. I had a similar problem recently where it would shoot up to just over 2000rpm when cold.. turned out that I'd accidentally turned the AC on without realizing. Lol..
