I have a question. I have 2001 toyota GAIA the engine check light comes on and i have check do the dialogstic today. and the code is P1653.
Anyone know what is the code is.
I try to find but don't know what it is.
ANYONE can help please

Closest thing the googlemachine finds is for the SCV is playing up, which is odd because you don't have one of those. Next closest is VSV for Intake Air Control Valve

Id say Lloyd is on the money.
Not too familiar with the 1AZ, but seems to be the standard vac operated actuator via vac solenoid. Id say the circuit and sokenoid would be the best place to start checking for faults as that would be what ecu notices voltage/resistance change on to bring on lamp.
