1jzgte randomly won't fire on 6

Postby iamawesome » Sun Dec 21, 2014 11:49 am

Hey guys
so last week my supra's battery went flat and I had to charge it. Now when it turns on it fires on 6 then just starts dropping cylinders and stalls after about a minute. Iv tried new plugs, unplugged the emanage ultimate, and the obvious things like resetting the ecu. The speedo cable isn't plugged in since I broke it but I don't see why that would do anything? Was running 100% fine the week before
any help appreciated

Does it just happen on cold starts?

Is it fouling the plugs to the point of misfire?

Have you taken it for a thrash since charging the battery?

Have you gassed it up recently?

ECU should have already been reset when you disconnected the battery to charge it - unless you charged it while it was still connected?!

It's to the point where it won't idle. Couldn't possibly drive it. Yeah I know but for the sake of pulling a fuse out I just did it anyway . But I think the ecu has pooped its self again. It was running 100% fine last week and even did a dyno run the other week. After around 2 minutes it just dies but then I can turn it on and it will run then just drop cylinders against

Do you have a spare ecu you can try, or borrow one from another 1JZ?
