Fan running all the time

Postby Graeme » Sun Feb 08, 2015 8:00 pm

I have a AE111 BZG and the radiator fan runs constantly whenever the ignition is in the on position. It doesn't matter what the water temp is, if the key is on it is on!. What should I be looking for? bad switch, bad relay?

Yes, but it was doing it before it was removed and the aircon didn't work although it was full of gas. Would the A/C pressure switch failing cause it to run all the time?

Yes. When the pressure switch is not connected, the fans turn on with the ignition switch. So I would presume that if the pressure switch is faulty it would cause the same issue.

Yeah, find where the plug for this was and try bridging the terminals and seeing if this stops them from coming on.

AC pressure sensor plug is on the passenger chassis rail, just by the diagnostic plug wiring. It's a four pin plug, two of the wires will be green and they are the ones that need to be bridged.
