Machining a pressure plate isn't as straightforward as a flywheel, as you're messing with clearances you may have to get it shimmed to maintain the clamping within spec. Add to that the heat damage (I'd guess that the discolouration and pitting would require moderate machining to remove) and the risk of it being cracked, I'd just bin it and start again.
