Extending fuel hardline.... ***SORTED***

Postby jondee86 » Mon Dec 19, 2016 10:04 pm

I have to relocate the fuel filter on my AE86 to a new position only 120mm away
from the OEM location. As I would rather not hack up the factory hardline, I was
wondering if anyone knows where I might find fittings that would mate with the
flare fittings circled in the pic...

The easiest solution is probably a short length of EFI rated hose clamped onto
hosetails, and I would need one female flare fitting to pick up the existing hardline
fitting, plus a male fitting that would make a gas tight seal in the base of the fuel
filter. If no such fittings exist, then cutting the factory hardline and using some
kind of compression fittings with hosetails could work.

Got it sorted... managed to stretch the hardline enough relocate the fuel
filter out of the way. On to other problems now :)
