Hi folks.

Ever since I have had my MR2, it has had this strange device in the front trunk, and I dont know what it is. I am assuming it is to do with audo gear in some way shape or form.

Any ideas? It says 'pheonix power gold' on it, and looks to be a kill switch or something? Well yes, it is obviously a switch/fuse of some type.

The thick cable runs to behind the passenger seat, where it isnt connected to anything. The other end just dangles in the front trunk.

Would this have been for an amp or something?
What exactly is it for?

Ive been meaning to pull it out, but Ive come down with a case of CBF-itis.

Its a circuit breaker..

and the red stuff is your power and runs to your amplifier (thats if you have one..)

If it isn't connected to anythine remove it and sell the circuit breaker for cheap on NZICEmag - i'm sure someone will pick it - its a genuine PG circuit breaker - better make sure that its does flow current through it first before you sell it though - you could probably sell the wire as well!

Its currently open circuit too by that pic. Pushing the arm back in closes the circuit and if you draw over 100A then it should pop back open. Handy to have on your battery if you ever need to just disconnect the battery, simply push the button on it
