Cobra AB7928 q's

I recently emailed the car stereo company here in wellington asking for a quote for a dynatron d7800 alarm for my 88 supra, and they replied that they would actually recommend a Cobra AB7928 over it for $695 installed.

Can anyone tell me about the cobra? what advantages does it have over the dynatron? are they an insurance recognised brand?
