Alarm install help...

Postby Ice block » Tue Aug 29, 2006 7:31 pm

Just put a uniden alarm in my Bongo , Does anyone no where the indicator relays are ??? OR are there none ?? I've found 3 relays and a flasher unit behind the glove box . Can't see anything else .
Also , the immobilisers do i just hook up off the steering column ignition wires , or in the engine bay itself .

Cheers all

problem #1, you brought a uniden.

Problem #2, you should have just pulled the curtains on the bongo

you normally don't need to find the relays themselvs, just use the wiring that goes down the steering collum from the indicator switch

problem 1... indictaors. dont go to the relays go to the column and grab thegreen with black trace and green with white trace wires. each should blink 12volts on a multi meter in time with the indicators (ones left the others right) connect to these.

problem 2 immobilisers. unless you really know what your cutting do you really want too???? immobilisation depends on a lot of things. petrol or diesel? high current or low? manual or auto?
