Caldina Door wont lock.

Postby bbq1988 » Mon Aug 06, 2007 9:51 pm

Hey guys, just found a bug in my car

Ive had it for just over a week and tonight we had a little play with the alarm trying to set it off.. my brother went up to the passenger door and tried to open it.. and well, to my embarassment the door opened. Alarm went off and all. but i Need to get it fixed ASAP.

Now what happens, you cant lock it manualy, nor does the central locking lock it.

you can put alot of pressure onto it to try and make it lock but as soon as you stop pushing the button it just pops back out into the unlocked position...

Any ideas? myself and a mate will be taking the door trim off tomorow and mucking around to see what we can find.

Cheers :)

door motor will be jammed,

probably part of the catch if it's the same as most other later model toyota's.

Need a new lock/catch mechanism.
