Anyone know how to unlock an Alpine 7526 Stereo

Postby 85AW20v » Mon Apr 21, 2008 11:46 pm

Don't know what I've done but I can't change the station or the volume in the car I've just bought. It worked OK when checking out the car but I've pushed a button somewhere and locked it up. Don't know the code either so can't disconnct the battery to reset it.
See ya

unsure of the 'unlocking' but all the early alpines has 43123 as the code.. well at least the 5 or 6 i had did.. or go to the 2nd to last page of the owners handbook.. it used to be written in there (on nz new cars)
current cars:
Evo 4 230Kw atw
1971 mini.
79 bugeye 245kw atw.
Evo powered mx5 under construction

If that doesn't work and the stereo is factory in an NZ new toyota, go see Taupo toyota parts department and give them the cars rego number.

All sorted thanks. Found the manual for it in the car and it said what to do if the battery was replaced so I pulled the fuse and its all good now. I'll keep a note of that code though.
