5.25s & 5x7 speakers

Postby SIKBUZ » Tue Jan 08, 2008 1:33 pm

Looking to replace the factory speakers in my bat.. Just want good solid speakers to run off the head unit but wanting decent sound (when the baffle is in lol). Will run them off the head unit as i've done the whole amp thing and cant be bothered with the weight increase or power issues

Any recommendations? Thanks guys and girls

Infinity do a huge range of sizes, decent quality and prices.

I got mine from parallel imported

In my old fx I had some 6x9s running off a small (FP402) amp in custom boxes, every untrained ear thought I had a sub.

Heres the site I was talking of, i notice they don't carry that much of a range anymore but worth a look.

http://www.parallelimported.co.nz/search.php?main_category=Car+Audio

Keep in mind heaps of people discourage others from buying parallel imported goods, cause it doesn't support your local retailers etc.

you could also look towards the Powerplant series of fusion perhaps... seen their 6x9's go hard and had similar results as what Ae82 spoke of with them. Advantage is theey also do a 5x7 and 4x6 speaker for all those oddball fitments too so ya covered for all sizes including the regular ones

Shop around but they have just updated their range with the 'new' Powerplant series being better than the last, but for a bargain you can pick up the old series on clearance (contact me if you want sum prices but for 6.5 components they're down from about $180 to around the 110-120 mark from memory) and its the old series that i've seen good results with. Have a listen for yourself tho as its your ears they need to please ;) lol
