had a mate with a honda del sol, simalar in size to mr2. he ran a 12" sony sub bettween the frount seats, powered by a large 1000w amp in the boot. the bass was unbelivable, and slightly unberable. cant remember what else he ran

Same here listen to metal like Emperor and Cyber/Industral like Angelspit, and my complete Sony system works good. I've been using all Sony stuff for almost 4 years now and never had a problem with it. For value for money it's hard to beat.
Don't need too much in the way of sounds in an MR2 either, it's only a small car. Only thing I would change with my setup would be to run my 6X9s off an amp.


yea well im pretty keen to split up my sounds better.
I've heard you get better clarity running components with a sub rather than mixing your bass and mids in a 6x9

but im definitely not looking for massive bass! thats for sure, i want to hear the rest of the music too.
