12" sub box

Postby ihavelift » Sun Nov 29, 2009 10:54 pm

So i bought a 12" sub (400w rms), and need a custom box made as most premades won't fit in my boot.

Does anybody know where i could get a good box made for a good price or alternatively have a box that would house a 12" sub in a celica boot?

If you still want to have boot left, 12" will be difficult to fit.
I resorted for 10" instead, non right angle wedge to go in the left side of the boot. The 10" would have ~5mm off the bottom of the box (before magnet hits the floor of the box). Width wise there should not be a big problem to fit a 12", but depth wise it is very difficult unless you want to sacrifice boot space (that is tiny to start with).
I can take pics of my box if interested.

I used card board to make a mock-up and then used trig to recalculate all the angles, length and cuts properly (as there is no 90' angles in there). I also used whole load of screws, and epoxy resin (glued and coated inside an out) but that was over kill.
