Postby FXGT » Tue Jul 12, 2005 10:04 pm

I need a head deck, except i don't have much to pay... $100-$150 is all i can fork out.

Thanks!

Crap - play an MP3 on it ans wait for 30 secs for the unit to recognise that it is a MP3. Thats what the Foryou ones do :(

I had a Sony CDX F5500x I though it was alright unit, but when I got a hold of my Clarion DXZ746MP it totally kicked ass. I wasn't aware that that a different headunit could make that much of a difference. I'd go for the clarion or JVC. And 86_rolla - you will definatly hear the diff between them.

you noticed the better processing - the clarion is a has a 24bit digital analogue convertor (DAC) in it - far superior to most one bit DACs..
i'm using that exact unit for my demo car.. you're in good company 8) :D
