any one have any idea on how secure these 1991+ soarers are? are they hard to break into?
do they have any stock security features better than most jap cars at the time?

from what i have seen they are the same as most japanese handles of the year.

My matess 92 soarer was broken into using a screw driver and leavering the door handle from the door!!!

An Alarm was not installed!

yeah i thought they would be like most jap cars at the time... :( oh well just have to install a decent alarm system in one..

best recomendation would be an alarm with black wiring loom harder to hotwire them and try and get one that has proximaty warning if some one goes near it the car will say "step away from the vehicle" you know what I mean.

All four and 5 star alarms (quality ones like he said :roll: ) have black wireing.

Dick Smith do stock Uniden alarms... providing you install it well (just like any alarm should be) Uniden ones work fine. If you want it to count for insurance you have to get a certified installer to do it tho.
