Headunit power help

Postby Zyros » Fri Jun 23, 2006 7:09 pm

Hey, i installed a headunit today... and the headunit is always on even with the key out.. just remains on, i think its because we have the yellow (constant) and red (12V) bridged due to the constant wire in the loom not working, what else could we hook the constant wire (yellow) up to.. thanks.

You could just run a new power feed from the batterey, the lugs and fuse' wouldn't cost more the $10.

Red should be wired to ACC or ON from the ignition switch, yellow should always have power no matter which position ignition is on... Sounds like you have the yellow alright, but the red is wrong

Whats ACC? Or how do we wire it to this.. 'on' from the ignition?

one wire that goes in is acc which gives it all its power when you turn the key to acc/on. the power wire just holds the settings in it.
