Toyota Vista (Camry?) front door panels

Postby trueno » Mon Jul 09, 2007 6:27 pm

I've got a 92 Toyota Vista, it's a bit of a boat but I would like to chuck some speakers in there so at least it sounds good.

I cant get the front door panels off though, the bezel behind the interior door panels is giving me trouble. I tried using the method that worked for my old trueno - ie screwdriver in between the bezel and the lever/lock thing. But i can only get the top loose this way and the bottom wont budge.

can anyone help me out here?

Also, where's the best place to get power cables through the firewall? and is there room in the dash area for a smallish amp? I'm thinking behind the glove box area.

The front speakers look really small, would these be 4"? 5"? they look tiiiny.

Cheers.

Is this what you're talking about?

If it's anything like a caldina, then the tabs indicated here need to be gently pried up / down with a couple of small screwdrivers, as there's a pin running between them.

Thats what it was like on my Trueno, I assume it'd be the same on the vista but i've tried for quite a while and both of them are REALLY stuck.

Guess i'll just have to give it aother shot.
