Dynatron are all good, unless you are after a special feature they are probably all good so go for the cheapest

In my opinion choosing an alarm is much like choosing an aftermarket ECU', find an installer you like to work with and go with the alarm that they like. You are much more likely to get a better install and service from and installer that knows all the tricks and quirks of each alarm and if you have any issues it should be easier for them to fix.
The top end alarms are all much of a muchness and it will come down to the quality of the install, all alarm installs are not created equal, a quick one is not necessarily a good one. Also look at additional features you may want, its a lot easier and tidier to have these added at the start than later on. eg things like horn honk, windows up, internal piezo sirens, tilt sensors
When in doubt, down and out.

Have heard the build quality is better for dynatron over AVS, also been advised to steer clear of mongoose.
Have a Dynatron 3800 in my old car, good alarm, never had a problem with it :)

That is John, but not the motorbike riding, holden driving one..

I'm a brand wh0re, Dynatron all the way + a decent installer.

I helped put one of my Dynatron alarms in, a year later when I went to hook up the boot-release, I couldnt find the brain.. and I was there when we put it in LOL...

It all comes down to the installer and not being uniden :)

our work only stocks mongoose, although i think we can get in/install/repair most alarm brands. i had an m60b in ym starlet, installed quite a few at our work, havnt had a comeback ion the year ive been there, i got a dynatron d3800 in my levin, quite good cant fault it, siren not as loud as i would like but thats a minor. i have heard nothing but trouble from avs. 3 of my friends have them, 2 have had the immobiliser relays pack out on them. also had a guy on another forum have the exact same prob. and these arnt old alarms
EP82 GT-went mega hard for completely stock, 15.09 quarter, gone now :(

Have had 3 dynatrons (2 D3800s, 1 D7800) and an AVS S5. Will definately be going AVS next time round. One D3800 would set the alarm off and immobilise it while i was driving!!!  . Im sure everything can be pinned down to some installation fault, but id rather go AVS.

Sorry worded that wrong, dynatron is beta than uniden but uniden are cheaper but still really high quality alarms, we supply and fit a vs2600 for $400 where as i beleive the dynatron is like $300 just for the unit (correct me if im wrong tho lol)
