ah - having cake and eating it as well.
will you run the audio when the car is off. If so, you need more capacity. If not, then you can go to a smaller battery and just run the stereo when using the car. And what car is this all going in to?

Endurant have released an optima replacement for mack trucks.

Endurant Crankmaster CM24/750, CM750AGM - 750CCA, 203h x 175w x 273l mm
http://www.hcb.co.nz/Downloads/CM750AGM ... elease.pdf

Better pricing than optimas. Have pushed a couple for friends and they have reported no issues.

You can get the buddy club batteries from Mac@41 as an example, otherwise there are traders on TM who sell small sealed lead acid batteries for racing.

Buddy Club Racing Spec Battery RSB -25

* 12V22Ah
* 440CCA
* Multiple Battery Post Configurations
* Compact Size (7 x 3 x 6.5)
* Maintenance Free Sealed Design
* Weights Only 16.4lbs

Buddy Club Racing Spec Battery RSB -30

* 12V30Ah
* Positive Screw Type Battery Posts
* Compact Size (9.75 x 3.75 x 5.75)
* Maintenance Free Sealed Design
* Multiple Mounting Possibilities
* Weights Only 21.64lbs

For capacity, we are looking at amp hours. The more AH, the more juice you have for the sounds.
CCA allows you to turn the starter over.
