Encoding new dynatron remote?

Postby FST4RD » Mon Nov 18, 2013 6:16 pm

Hey all, when I bought my new car it only had 1 alarm remote.
It has a Dynatron alarm, so I went and bought another remote. The chap in the store told me how to encode it, but I forgot!
It was something like make sure the door is open and dis arm the alarm, turn the ignition right on, back to acc, back to on, and you have to do this 7 times. I think I have something wrong here.
I can't find any info on Google about how to do this.
Can anyone help?

We do them all the time at work,

need to make sure that the alarm is hooked to ign not acc and that the door switch works.

The remotes we get have the instructions in the packet with them,
but your procedure sounds about right.

Was wanting an answer tonight.
However after trying and trying different things I've finally managed to encode it to suit my alarm!
My car only came with 1 key and 1 alarm remote. Key has a transponder in it for an immobiliser and cost $140 for another one! And the remote cost me $79. Things you have to take into consideration when buying a car!

Yeah I think that's where I was going wrong.
