Well went on friday just to see what its like at the moment and oh my god what a bunch of $&#$%

Saw a legacy being chased by cops (3 cars) and tryed to take a corner at around 160 and lost it into a tree

And the stolen skyline doing skids and dragging till he blew up the turbo and then the engine

WHAT A BUNCH OF WANKERS

(very good drifting by a fairly well known silvia though) that guy had good car control

used to go riverbank every thursday, town / hutt road / port road / tip road / airport every friday and saturday when i had my evo zero and gsr, but i think i've only been to do the cruising thing round kent / cambridge terrace once in the past year? and that was in my econovan, so it could hardly be called racing (it barely managed 100 on a steep downhill with a tail wind).

Just got bored of it, I guess.

perhaps i'm getting old.........

Yeh its good times if theres actually something going on which is hard to come across, but being in the train for 4 or 5 hours with no real action is kinda arse.

there isnt really any 'organised' illegal drags here in nelson we all used to go to this old bit of up the whangamoas, they did a big realigning of the roads and left a whole bunch of old closed roads, we went up there for skids, it was a good 20 minutes out of town, miles away from any houses and any roads, but now thats been blocked off completly so everyone is gone closer to town, a bit more dangerous, but noone seems to care,

well i just heard a sad story of somebody that went to the illegals and just happened to do a rather nice skid in thier rather nice car and the cops were taking video footage and turned up at his house a few days later with a nice fine and a court date and a warrant for his arrest and a tow truck to tow away the car

Yeah illegals are good fun but with the amount of punishment you can get from going you might as well go have some real illegal fun and not get $&#$% over by the cops as hard
